Vietnam Memorial - New Mexico
August 1989 (chaged I was about ten years off) Joannie, Brady and I were travelling to the Philmont Scout ranch when we looked up on a hill and saw the monument that is talked about in the link below. I saw the post about the "SACK LUNCH" and started thinking about that memorial again. Tried about a dozen different seaches... could not remember when we saw it or what state we saw it... just luck I found it... as soon as I saw the picture I knew I had found the right one. some things are just ment to be remebered. I remember walking down a spiril walkway with photographs of passed Vietnam verterans... there was a notice that pictures would be added as provided. I wonder if they have expanded the photos to include more recent conflicts (remember Vietnam wasn t a war)... This was an extreme experiance... finding this memorial by accident and deciding to turn around and taking the time to visit it... only standing in front of the Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC has touch my emotions as much... so go visit this link http://www.kaper.us/articles/ARTICLE_011030_hunt_nam_memorial.html and stop and visit it if you ever get the chance. We Have a Hwy here in Ont with the name Veterans Memorial parkway.. its a main Hwy of the 401 Hwy comeing into London Ont... And in the spring there will be more things added to it..
