Songman... lucky you... getting to make it twice, with the HHR and the Fiero. Looks like a nice run!

In my opinion, it is one of the best roads in the country for a run. I used to enjoy the Run For The Hills in TN and NC, and I will again when we move back to GA. But I think even then, I'll still put on this CA run. That will give me an excuse to come drive this road once a year. Long before I moved to CA, I used to fly to L.A. and rent a car just to drive this road.
With that being said, of course, this is not just a Fiero run and anyone is invited. If anyone wants to come along with an HHR they are invited I will warn you though that the Fiero run is pretty fast!
I bought this fancy mount to mount my video camera on the side of the car to get different views of the Run. I had it for the HHR run but my wife had taken the video cameras to school and forgot to bring the chargers back home the day before we left. I'll have some video of the road at least after this time.
Looking forward to the vids!!!

i realy like that red white and blue pic
It looks like you folks had fun! Keep us in the loop. I would love to get in on a ocean run!
Well Bettie. I'm all for doing it again next year if others are. This will be the 4th running for the original CA Cost Run that I modeled this after. Maybe if we do it again next year I'll have a little more time for planning. This time it was just thrown together but I think it was still a huige success!
Coast Run
Harvey says let the cruise begin. It will be a blast to go from start to finish and then for us back again.
See ya down the road

Bud, we're going to be having lunch in Carmel Valley on the 28th with a bunch of Fieros if you feel like getting out.
How did I miss this post? Great pictures!
Songman

It looks like you guys had a great time. Nice pictures of the run. Thanks for posting them.
Also nice shot of you and your wife in Venice. That was my daughters favorite city in Italy when I taught over there about 4 years ago for a summer.
My wife is an art teacher. You can imagine how much we love our yearly trips to Europe. Her main interest is Victorian era mourning art. We spend a lot of time in the cemeteries of Europe. We actually thought about buying an apartment in Paris. She would love to be able to teach over there. Personally, I would rather buy a cottage in the South of France and be able to drive to Paris. After a few days, Paris is just like any other city in the world.. only a bit cooler. There is something cool about walking back to your apartment with 3 feet of bread thrown over your shoulder. We loved Venice and Florence. Rome was just way too nasty for us although I am greatly interested in the history. You'll have to share some of your adventures with me sometime.
Dale,
I thought everything was planned out well looking forward to next year.
Thanks Charles... Normally I do itineraries and handouts with distances between points, etc. And of course the charity auction. Maybe by next fall there will be more HHR vendors so we'll be able to solicit donations and raise a little money for St Judes. It was nice of Sindy to show up with the Road Rippers this year.
Sounds like a plan. I'll try to get there. When it gets closer and if I'm going to make it I'll get the location.
Thanks for the invite.
See ya down the road
