they are the r concepts rotors, which i have. i just got their rotors and put advance auto gold pads on. for the first couple stops they made some chattering noises, then cleared right up and have been excellent. if they hold up to new york winters, i will be very happy with them. i have had them for several weeks now. they do make some noise. the only way i know of describing it is it sounds like the QUIETEST jet plane you have ever been on. it is not loud by any means, just occasionally it comes to mind. i am always listening for extra noises, it is a habit. Geo, That's why next mod will be upgraded stereo! :)

there is the braking noise and another noise that i noticed just after installing them. it is around 45 mph or so and up. not loud, not disturbing. just there. as i said i am always listening for extra sounds or new shimmies or what ever. i do all my own work and it is like an early warning system. that plus a sudden drop in mpg usually = some kind of work coming up! if these winter well, i am going to check to see if i can get them for my van.

geo- 10-30-2008

the noise is no louder than tire noise.

NEMO- 10-31-2008

Yea, got an email this morning!!!!! They should be here in Nov 5, 2008!!! Now the major question,, I will be at 40,000 miles by then for sure, so do I put these on then or wait till I need them?

A very important thing when installing the slotted rotors-make sure to put them on the proper side of the car. The EBC instructions I received did not mention this, and I wound up doing it backwards. For the first 1500 miles everything was great, then I began getting vibration when I applied the brakes that was much, much worse than with the factory rotors. I checked on the EBC website trying to find a phone number (there is none-you can only contact them by email). Under their troubleshooting page, it shows which way the rotors must face. I strongly believe that this should be mentioned in their instructions. I pulled off the wheels and carefully looked at the rotors, and saw that there is a small L and R cast into them after the part number.

I wondered the same when I installed mine. A good buddy of mine noticed the small L and R and thank God they went on correct. No more problems 15,000 miles and almost a year later. Great mod imo......
