Sirius deal
thought you folks might want to know...in case you already have a sirius radio in one car, and are considering buying another CAR KIT for another vehicle, Radio Shack is having a special right now. You can either buy a CAR KIT for $36....which is no deal. OR you can buy a complete Sirius Stratus with car installation kit for $29.99 sure it's their cheapest radio, but you get the car kit with it...for less than just buying the car kit. That means-you can have a spare radio in case you ever lose/damage yours...OR...you can have a stratus in your other car if you activate it. It's only $7/mo extra to add a radio to your plan, and the other radio's are in the $100+ range... so...I wanted my Suburban to have a docking station/car kit so I could just bring my Starmate4 along, and when I went to buy the car kit, I saw the whole Stratus package was less. just a FYI folks....in case you're considering adding a docking station to any of your cars...cheaper docking station with antenna and power suplly that comes wityh a free cheap-o stratus.....I just set the stratus aside...dont need it...but you never know.

i check on XM and right now all you can do is the 1, 2 and 3 yr plan, no month to month w a 45 day min pay up front. kind of tacky. you can do the month to month for 12.95 w Sirius and its all the same company.

i pay month to month with XM 12.95 per month only way I can afford it.. I like it doesnt matter to me which it is XM or Sirius..

if XM doesnt allow me to re-new the "trial" that came with my HHR on a month-to-month basis...I'll be bummed. I like the XM built-in set up I have...but I certainly dont want to pay $155 for a 1 year deal...especially since we dont know when/if Sirius/XM merger will change things on the user end. I have sirius...I pay month to month...but i dont have it in my HHR...nor do i plan to add it in...I am content with the XM in it...but if push comes to shove...I'd probably spend another $29 on a car kit like I listed above, and install Sirius in my Smoke wagon. I just dont want to deal with a "mounting set up" for Sirius...again, me likes the built-in XM feature. C'mon XM...dont do me wrong.

i called XM and they let me do quarterly w automatic charge on a card. they dont list it but they will do it, seems they just want all their money up front. NOT

I also do my XM on a non-yearly deal (mine is paid off every three months), and works out pretty well for me. If I didn't already have the XM, that's a heck of a deal that I would definitely look into.
