Side window deflectors
Does anyone know if someone makes side window deflectors in chrome? All I can find are the two kinds of smoke (light and dark).
never seen any in chrome......i have dark ones on mine
Same thing here...they sure would look nice that way. Might be possible to paint them with chrome paint. Use Bulldog adhesive, several coats of chrome paint and then several coats of clear. Just an idea.
Theres a company called Putco (i think) that makes them for trailblazers and other trucks. Maybe email them to see if they will be made in the future for the HHR.
Putco doesn't make them. I emailed them and they replied stating that it is something that they do not offer.
Sooooo I guess I'm going to go with the dark smoke style. But I do have a question: Is there an advantage between in-channel or not, or is it just a personal preference?
I think it's a matter of preference myself. However, when I got mine, it was shortly after I bought my HHR in January 2006 and the stick on was all that was available. I saw Karen's at Kicks in Tulsa and she has the Weathertech In-Channel and they cover the entire rear door windows instead of just part of them like all the others. If I were to purchase in-channel at this stage of the game, I would definitely go with the Weathertech.
Check this thread in this forum...it has several pics of what I'm talking about on the Weathertech. ;)

Thanks Deb
I've seen the other in-channels that do not extend the entire length and did not like the look of that at all.
I'm just not sure if I would want the stick-on or the Weathertech
