Shorter rear shocks
I have the Goldline rear leveling springs in my 06, and now anytime the car is put on a lift, both of the springs fall out. Are other people having this problem? Are there any shocks available that are an inch shorter than the factory ones to eliminate the problem?
not that i know of
they were going to make them and it never happened
Do you have the same problem? What do people do? Check my other post in service problems-my dealer is giving me serious grief.
they are being pathetic. takes 10 seconds
its simple just make sure they are straight before you lower your car
no one has complained yet
find a better dealer. one that appreciates your business instead of whining about petty things
Ask them if they would like some cheese with that wine...Find another dealer, these sounds like they don't want to work on it.
They said if I hit a bump and the wheels left the ground, then the springs could fall out.
But they also said that my problems with the T/C code could be because I changed my wheels (they are still 17 inch with the original factory tires). AND they also said my battery problems could be due to the aftermarket radio, even though my battery only dies during the winter when it is cold outside.
Those are all typical dealer "excuses". The service guys see aftermarket parts and that gives them an out, instead of having to figure out what the actual problems are. Like it was stated above, find a new dealer. There are plenty out there who still understand what the term "service after the sale" means.
You are right. Actually, the dealer I was at is the place that I bought my car, where a neighbor used to work and set me up with the staff. They are usually pretty good to me, discounts on parts and all. But there is a dealer much closer, and they offer loaner cars and rides home if you live near by (like I do).
everytime a dealer tells me about aftermarket parts on a car
i tell them
Yada yada yada yada
us aftermarket guys sell more Chevies than you service guys that want to make excuses for not doing your jobs.
