shaker hood scoop
Well as most of you know I have been working on a shacker hood scoop that is functional to go with my functional sidepipes. Well last night I was talking to CJ and I came across these. Andrew I agree with CJ I like the Edelbrock Air Scoop the best and if you can get it for around the present bid that would be a good price. Not a lot of money invested to try it out. Although the hole you will need to cut in your hood is an investment. Also I like it because it is not trying to scream "look at me" Good Luck John

Thats what I was thinking too John. I emailed the guy and asked for the size of it and to get some more pix.

#1 is kind of plain and #3 is really square and really doesnt fit the lines of the HHR which doesnt have any square features at all. i cant think of one thing on it that is square in or out cept the radio.

so thats 3 for the Edelbrock intake so far. Thanks for all the input you guys.

thats what I was making before I see that Edelbrock scoop.

I actually like the fist one. I saw an orange one yesterday that had the mopar style (at a distance, probably a stuck on one). I didn't care for the way it looked. Still trying to figure out how you plan ot make it functional.

its not to hard at all. just need to figure out how hi it needs to be ubove the engine to stick out of the hood right. then make a 4 bar bracket that goes to the engine, so it moves with the engine. Have to bars going to the back of the engine and 2 to the front. then make a pipe to go from the rubber pipe on the T/B to the bottom of the scoop. And last it to cut out a hole in the hood.

Just remember, it probably won't "rock" to the side like a normal shaker would. Motor is already sideways.

I know that it wont. I just want a scoop sticking out the hood...lol
