Shagy on Goldlines and Truckshop.com Drilled/Slotted Rotors
the Goldlines Gen 3 are low. i am going to have to cut to the bowtie on the front mudflaps cause they are dragging on bumps. ride is a lil stiffer, more sporty, cornering is amazing, not alot of lean. first time you sit in it, the view is really low. Brian will kick in on this i am sure to put in his comments. braking on the rotors is great and really made a differnce in stopping. we both love them and they are just awesome looking on the HHR. we started w the fronts first and started around 9:30 am and finished at 2:30 pm with a 30 min break at lunch. that included new rotors which just literally pull off w no effort after u take out 2 bolts on the back. the rotors are awesome and look great w the silver calipers on the HHR. we measured from the ground and it is 26 inches in front and 26.25 inch in the back. it literally makes Brians leveled HHR look like a AWD version cause it is 1.5 inches higher. the impact wrench would not get the top nut off the strut so we went to a Meineike and met Torey the shop manager or store manager and not sure. right down the street and asked him if they could break off the top nut and he said, we have a Strut Tamer and i can take off the springs and replace both in just a short time. i asked how much and he said $35. he told us to take off the spring compressor and bring it all back, we did. they stopped 2 jobs and put them on this thing and in 10 mintes both were off and new springs on. amazing and well worth it so there is an option to making this alot easier and it knocked off probably 3 hours off our time and alot of work. here is a link to all the pics,,, many of them and here are a few. http://s83.photobucket.com/albums/j313/cjkrause/Goldline%20Springs%20on%20Shagy/

One thing about parking your own HHR next to Shagy. Your own HHR will always look stock in comparison. :usd: I have to say the goldlines really make Shagy, the look is low and mean. The handling was GREAT!!! With the sway bar and now the goldlines the ride was tight but not rough. Cornering was firm and well controlled. I'm very impressed with the goldline lowering spring set and the leveling springs I have on my own HHR. By taking advantage of the Strut Tamer we hardly got our hands dirty and didn't have to use anything besides jack, jackstands, small hammer and some sockets. :2: Looking good CJ!!!

those pics of the HHR of the Year and HHR of the Month look good Blue Fest Brian got a Pioneer 12 in sub and put in the ported sub box i had. i gave it to Brian for helping and hosting me. Speedbuggy is not only looking good but sounding really nice. We had 2 really good HHRs today. Was an awesome day. Brian and I need to meet at Kellers one Saturday night this summer from 8 to 10. And we actually need to make another Drive Inn run again w dinner first.

CJ Shagy looks awesome lowered. With all the new toys whats next? Brian that leveling out look great too! I agree Jesse, Shaggy looks great lowered and handles very well. I'm still very pleased with the leveling springs on Speedbuggy, one of my favorite mods I've done so far. After doing mine and CJ's I have the rear spring replacement down to an artform. One thing to mention for all future rear levelers out there, if you disconnect the shocks on both sides before you go to remove the springs, they will almost literally fall out, no pry bar required. :2:
